Estate & Trust Administration Attorney

Melville, Long Island Law Firm

Executing an estate in New York is a large responsibility. The executor is in charge of ensuring that the deceased’s wishes are fulfilled; this includes making sure all debts and taxes are paid and that the assets are ultimately transferred to the correct heirs. This task is, of course, made more difficult if the loved one dies without a will. In such cases, the person appointed by the court to handle matters of administration is called the Administrator. His or her role is the same as that of the executor, managing the assets until they are distributed according to New York law, rather than a will.

Unfortunately, if you have been granted the role of executor or administrator, you are undoubtedly very close to the deceased. Though you may be grieving, the tasks of administration cannot wait. If you need assistance, Brian Andrew Tully can help guide you through Probate and Intestacy Administration with as little difficulty as possible.
